College Wood Lockers - University of Hartford Women's Basketball Locker Room

When CHA approached ProZone to provide wood basketball lockers for the University of Hartford, it was for both the men's and women's teams. Both coaches had ideas and preferences that made their college wood lockers unique. The Women's team was coached by Jennifer Rizzotti and wanted a different design then that of the Men's room. Coach Rizzotti wanted a more traditional design that had straight side panels.

University Of Hartford's Problem:

Coach Rizzotti's locker room was different then that of the men's team. She had a lot more room to work with in her layout and she was able to go with a more traditional look. Often times the more open your floor plan the easier it becomes to design the college wood lockers.

The ProZone Locker Solution:
ProZone designed wood basketball lockers that offered a storage place for everything a player needs. Coach wanted traditional looking basketball wood lockers with straight sides.

A chrome clothes rod was added so players could hang there warm-ups during practices and games. A custom lock box was provided to lock up jewelry and iPods. ProZone used a combi-cam, 3 digit lock for keyless entry. Keyless entry was important to Coach Rizzotti because she did not want to have players worrying about storing keys.

An upper storage compartment with a door was added so players could store extra sneakers that they may have.

Designed into these wood basketball lockers were airflow slots cut into each locker shelf and panel to allow the free flow of air throghout. Air flow is an important aspect of all college wood lockers. It is necesary to make sure all equipment, sneakers and jererys area able to properly dry.

Wood Basketball lockers - Unique Feature:

The seats on both the Men's and Women's college wood lockers were made from an acrylic material called Corian. Corian is an extremely durable plastic, solid surface material that can be made to look like natural stone.
